# Overview

Bitplanet rewards all participants who contribute to its AI ecosystem. Choose your role based on how you want to contribute and earn.

## Participant Types

Bitplanet has five participant types, each with distinct roles and reward mechanisms:

### AI Economy Participants

[**AI Apps**](/participants/for-ai-apps.md) - Build platforms hosting AI agents Earn 40% of attribution rewards from all hosted AIs.

[**AI Creators**](/participants/for-ai-creators.md) - Originate new AI agents Earn 40% of your AI's attribution rewards based on usage and market cap.

[**Contributors**](/participants/for-contributors.md) - Train and improve AI agents Earn 20% of attribution rewards, split proportionally among all contributors.

### Network Participants

[**Validators**](/participants/for-validators.md) - Secure the blockchain Earn commission on staking rewards from the distribution module through Proof-of-Stake consensus.

[**Token Holders**](/participants/for-token-holders.md) - Govern and delegate Delegate tokens to validators to earn the majority of staking rewards and vote on network parameters.

## Reward Distribution

Bitplanet splits inflation between two pools (adjustable via governance):

| Pool | Allocation | Participants | Distribution |
| -------------------- | ---------- | ------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| **AI Attribution** | 50% | AI Apps (40%), Creators (40%), Contributors (20%) | Proportional to AI usage & market cap |
| **Network Security** | 50% | Distribution Module | Standard BitSDK allocation |

**Network Security Distribution (50% of inflation):**

* **Community Tax** (\~5%) → Community pool for ecosystem development
* **Staking Rewards** (\~95%) → Validators & Delegators
  * **Validators** earn commission (typically 5-10%) on their stake pool
  * **Delegators** earn majority of rewards proportional to their delegated stake

AI attribution rewards distribute proportionally based on each AI's usage and market capitalization. Network security rewards follow standard BitSDK Proof-of-Stake distribution, with validators earning commission and delegators receiving the majority of rewards based on stake weight.

## Getting Started

Select your participation path:

* [**Build AI platforms**](/participants/for-ai-apps.md) - Build AI platforms, earn 40% of AI attribution rewards (20% of total inflation)
* [**Create AI agents**](/participants/for-ai-creators.md) - Train AI agents, earn 40% of AI attribution rewards (20% of total inflation)
* [**Improve AI agents**](/participants/for-contributors.md) - Train and improve AI agents, earn 20% of AI attribution rewards (10% of total inflation)
* [**Secure the network**](/participants/for-validators.md) - Run validator infrastructure, earn commission on staking rewards
* [**Govern and delegate**](/participants/for-token-holders.md) - Delegate to validators, earn majority of staking rewards without running infrastructure
